Little Longhorn

Here are some shots of Max in his TX-OU game day getup.  The Longhorns got a surprise win against the Sooners.  Max could hardly believe it himself!

Cuteness.

"We're #1!"  (Ok, so technically we're not even in the top 25, but who's counting.)  Another possibility:  "Check out that squirrel over there!"

A Royal Halloween

Since I'm doing family Halloween costumes while I still have control over the situation, our theme this year was built around Scarlett's costume of choice.  Brace yourself, it's a shocker ... she wanted to be a princess.  (Now that I think about it, I had no control over Scarlett's costume choice, and Max refused to wear his.  So I guess I only have control over Chris and Winnie.  Better than nothing, I suppose.)  Anyhow, along with Scarlett's princess, I was a queen, Chris was a king, Max was (supposed to be) a dragon, and Winnie was a princess.

The Reluctant Dragon, the Pink Princess, and the Humiliated Wiener Dog.

The King and the Pink Princess.

Pretty girl.

The Queen and the Pink Princess.

The Dragon Random Kid in Green Sweatpants.  (Max looks surprised because I told him nobody was going to give him any candy unless he put on his dragon costume.  My threats didn't work.  And, as it turns out, he got more candy than Scarlett did, mostly because he'd just keep standing there at the candy bowl until people gave him some more.)

FYI, here's the rest of the neglected dragon costume.  (Max's response when I tried to put it on him:  "No dragon coat!  No dragon pants!"  Really, kid?  You don't even want to wear the pants?  I managed to at least get those on him eventually through candy bribery (not that the pants even remotely looked like any kind of costume ... *sigh*)).

The Royal Family.

Ready for trick or treating.

But first, the Pink Princess takes a bow.

Luke Skywalker (Boyd), Death Eater (?!) (Campbell), Little Witch (Blythe), Zombie (Harper), and the impatient Pink Princess

Let's get the show on the road, people ... the candy awaits!

Marie Antoinette post-beheading (Dana) and Day of the Dead Skeleton Lady (Molly) with a snake charmer on stilts.

Checking out a particularly decked-out house and getting up the courage to go up to the porch.

Happy Halloween!
