Helping Grandma to prepare the relish tray. Scarlett took her role as sous chef very seriously.
Uncle Greg and Max discuss something really important, no doubt.
Scarlett fits in some more golf before everyone arrives for the big meal.
Checking out her shot. We may have a future golfer on our hands.
Max tries to get in on the action.
Random shot just to prove I was there. (Not sure why Maxwell capsized and Scarlett, Pinky, and I didn't seem to notice.)
Pinky gets ready to eat turkey.
Max chats with Aunt Mia. Mia, who moved from Germany after World War II, won't reveal her age, but we believe she is well into her 90s. She still travels to Germany by herself to visit family a few times a year. Her birthday is a few days before Scarlett's, and she likes to call Scarlett "Little Mia."
Dancing with Cousin Mila.
Grandpa and Papa Tig (who made a surprise appearance) hanging out by the fire.
The day ended with the only football worth watching all day (following losses by both the Longhorns and the Cowboys, sheesh). Cousin Ryder is already an Aggie fan, but Scarlett doesn't seem to mind.
One more Thanksgiving post on the way soon (it's about time ... I need to move onto Christmas!).
